Zero Conditional
Rozpoczynamy serię wpisów na bogu Fundacji Wola poświęconych trybom warunkowym w języku angielskim. Przedstawimy zasady budowy zdań, przykłady i ćwiczenia utrwalające. Zanim przejdziemy do omówienia trybu zerowego (ang. zero conditional), warto przypomnieć sobie, że zdanie w trybie warunkowym ma dwie części: zdanie warunkowe (If-clause) i zdanie opisujące skutek spełnienia warunku (result clause), np. If we do a revision (If-clause), we get good marks (result clause).

Form
if + present simple, present tense
You may use present simple, present continuous, present perfect or imperative and start the sentence with the if-clause or the result clause. Remember to use a comma if you start the sentence with the if-clause.

Use
We use 0 conditional to talk about results of a situation or action which occur each time a condition is met.

Examples
• If you do your job well, you get a raise.
• If I'm listening to the radio, my children are playing computer games.
• Don't use the device if the red light starts flashing.
• If you've forgotten to take the medication in the morning, don't take a double dose in the evening.
